In 2002 the Center conducted research on this topic under a contract with the Roundtable on Religion and Social Welfare Policy at the Nelson A. Rockefeller Institute of Government, State University of New York at Albany. Similar research was conducted by other organizations in the other 49 states, funded by the Pew Charitable Trusts.

We researched the flow of federal funds into New Hampshire. As part of the project, we compiled a complete database of over 900 federal programs and the spending levels associated with each from 1983 through 1999. The reports in the sections describe the scope of federal funding in NH from 1995-1999.
