The Center has published extensively on the topics of school finance and educational quality in its 10 year history.

As the State has struggled with how best to finance its public schools, we have produced relevant data and projections regarding school finance reform for the state legislature, news media, and local officials. We have critiqued existing costing and distribution formulae and have developed alternatives. We have maintained and publicized our own independent fiscal projections. We plan to continue this project as long as the long-term future of school finance is uncertain.

Educational Attainment and Quality - Reports | Presentations

This project attempts to bring light to our state's public discussions about the quality of public education and how to ensure that public schools are accountable for achieving the goals that state and local policies have set. This topic is part of the debate about public education that has swirled since the Claremont I and II decisions of the New Hampshire Supreme Court.

  • Student-Centered Learning in NH: An Overview and Analysis (02-06-2013)

    This paper, funded in part by the Nellie Mae Education Foundation, is an effort to define “student-centered learning” as it is now being implemented in New Hampshire high schools; describe some of the major innovation efforts included in this state-defined reform agenda; review the successes and challenges of those efforts; and outline some of the questions that policymakers and educators must address if they wish to expand these initiatives statewide.
